Just like in the previous years, there was again a GOTHIC FESTIVAL at the beautiful Burg Sternberg (Sternberg Castle) near Hameln. So on 2nd September 2017, a couple of recommendable bands came there again – just like in 2016, the hosts of SALVATION AMP and three other acts.
DARK SUN BRIGHT from Eckernförde in Northern Germany started, and their 80s-influenced Wave Pop got people dancing early.
With the KADEADKAS from the Cologne area as the next band came probably the next big German Deathrock band. Featuring members of LOTUS FEED and the GHOSTS OF DAWN they are no beginners, and I think we will here more of them soon!
The festival hosts of SALVATION AMP played at their usual spot as 3rd band, and it was a show in their usual very high quality. They also played tracks from their forthcoming new album, and they made me curious.
Band number 4 were COME WITH REVERSE from Thessaloniki in Greece, and they havealready played at GOTHIC FEST I in 2013. They played an emotional and brilliant show, and I really hope to see the three nice guys again soon.
Cunclusion: Just as 2016 it was a nice little festival with a family atmosphere in a beautiful location – 2018 is already marked in the calendar!
